VEGAN-FRIENDLY TOCAYA ORGANICA EXPANDS TO THE BEVERLY CENTER

Los Angeles’ Beverly Center will be welcoming another vegan-friendly Tocaya Organica location to the city on Friday November 2. This modern and organic Mexican chain offers tacos, burritos, salads, and bowls – the majority of which can be made vegan.

This new location will be the ninth store opening for the brand, and Tocaya plans on having 12 stores open by the end of this year. “We wanted to open in a convenient, central location for those who want to eat healthy during a busy work day or grab a bite in the evening with friends,” said Tosh Berman CEO and co-founder of The Madera Group. Using ingredients that are organic and sourced locally, Tocaya takes a “vegan-first approach” to their menu.

Essentially, for each of Tocaya’s different mains (which includes tacos, burritos, salads, and bowls), you first choose a style that its prepared (i.e. what the ingredients and fixings are), and then pick a protein and cheese to go with it. All styles per main can be made vegan if you choose a vegan protein (their Vegan Picadillo, a pea-based protein with veggies, or their spicy Adobo Tofu) and vegan cheese (vegan mozzarella or vegan chipotle jack). Additionally, other vegan options include sides, like their chips & salsa, guacamole (which is served with crispy plantain chips), sweet corn tamales, and tortilla soup, plus drinks like aguas frescas and juices. Finally, they’ve also got a vegan Waffle Ice Cream Sandwich, which features Craig’s Vegan Vanilla Ice Cream between two churro waffles and topped with chocolate sauce.
